I've started this business because I think the research software produced at NREL is extremely powerful but yet inaccessible to much of the industry. By focusing on UI design, performance optimization, and workflow integration, I intend to bridge that gap.
I was a senior researcher in wind energy modeling at NREL for 8.5 years, where I coordinated the wind energy software portfolio, created the modern form of FLORIS from scratch, established much of OpenFAST's code quality and accessibility infrastructure, and enabled the coupling of many of NREL's models into other software. Prior to joining NREL, I worked in gas turbine computational fluid dynamics and general software development for web and high performance mobile applications.
My goal: Empower wind turbine designers and wind farm developers to leverage NREL's powerful software in the design of next generation wind energy systems.
